The Site
Dragonfly.nu is my on again off again, “What do I want to do on the web”, mess. I taught myself HTML 10+ years ago and felt that I always need some sort of web presence. Don’t ask me why because I don’t know either. In its current form, I am using this site to display my attempts at art. As an extra, I like to blog about gaming and sometimes my life. It is what it is.
The Art
Aside from the pages marked “Pencil” and “Digitally Colored”, all of my art is done using Poser. I use Bryce for the occasional background, and almost every image is tweaked in Photoshop. I really want to dive into landscapes using Vue, but my current PC is unable to handle even the simplest render from that program.
The Cast
Candi: That would be me. I am a 30 something nerd trying to masquerade as a geek. I love all things fantasy, sci-fi and horror. I have an insane amount of hobbies, and if I am ever bored it is because I am just not trying.
Gilbert: My husband. I have to fight with him for control of the Xbox. He is the most awesome husband ever, mostly because he puts up with my crap.
Xander: Our 5-year-old son. He is amazingly smart and was long ago lost to video games. We tried, we really did, but it is in his DNA. I have to fight with him for the Xbox as well. He asked for his own Xbox for Christmas, and that is starting to sound like a good idea.
Linette: Our 1.5 year-old daughter. She knows we are cheating her if we give her a controller that isn’t lighting up. She likes all things pretty and is forcing me to be more girlie.
